The London Fair has announced the nominees for the International Excellence Awards

The press service of the fair reports that in London there have been announced nominees for the International Excellence Awards 2022.

This year, 17 countries will compete for the prize that has been awarded for the ninth year in a row for outstanding achievements in the world of books.

 

Nominees will compete in eight categories.

Prize for the publisher of children’s and adolescent literature (new category):

  • Damla Publishing (Turkey);
  • Thierry Magnier (France);
  • Tulika Publishers (India).

Bookstore of the year:

  • La Mistral (Spain);
  • Norli Universitetsgata (Norway);
  • Rahva Ramat Viru Store (Estonia).

Library of the Year:

  • City of Johnannesburg (South Africa);
  • Fran Galovic Koprivnica Public Library (Croatia);
  • House of Wisdom (UAE).

Audiobook Editor of the Year:

  • Macmillan Audio (USA);
  • Saga Egmont (Denmark);
  • Penguin Random House (USA).

Prize for the initiative of literary translation:

  • Al Kotob Khan (Egypt);
  • Europe Comics (Belgium);
  • Institut Ramon Llull (Spain).

Award for educational resources (new category):

  • Caramel Tree (Canada);
  • Editions Animées (France);
  • Hamilton House Publishers (Greece).

Human Rights Award (sponsored by Sharjah Book Authority):

  • Anna Soler-Pont (Spain);
  • Fatima Abbas (Egypt);
  • Gray Tan (Taiwan).

Exclusivity in publishing (UK only):

  • Knights Of;
  • Bloomsbury;
  • Saqi Books.

 

The winners will be announced at the fair in April.

 

We would like to remind that in 2019 the Ukrainian Fest «Book Arsenal» received the International Excellence Awards at the London Book Fair in the category «Literary Festival», and in 2021 Audio Publishing House «Abuk» was shortlisted in the category «Audiobook Publishing House of the Year».
