Book Arsenal launches open call for 2026 Fellowship Program

Foreign publishers, rights managers, literary agents, and other professionals of the book industry interested in cooperation with Ukraine are invited to participate in the competitive selection for the Book Arsenal Fellowship Program.

The Book Arsenal Fellowship Program is a professional program of the International Book Arsenal Festival designed to contribute to strengthening international cooperation with Ukraine in the book field by establishing direct contacts between professionals from Ukraine and abroad and acquainting them with the local literary and book scenes.

“For us, the third round of the Book Arsenal Fellowship Program is a continuation of the conversation and partnerships that emerged in the previous two seasons, as well as a way to maintain a lively connection between literatures of different countries. To participate in the program, we select the international publishers and literary agents for whom cooperation with Ukraine is a sincere professional interest and a space for mutual enrichment. And Book Arsenal is exactly the event that best motivates participants to establish cooperation and inspires love for Ukraine,” said Yuliya Kozlovets, Director of the International Book Arsenal Festival.

The submission deadline is March 9, 2026 inclusive. The applicants selected for participation in the program will have received confirmation by April 4, 2026. The Book Arsenal Fellowship Program covers travel expenses and accommodation costs in Kyiv for the duration of the program.

Dates of the program and the festival are May 28-31, 2026. An additional two to four days may be needed for travel, due to the absence of flight connections with Ukraine. The participants will be offered assistance with the logistics planning.

The program will include presentations designed to acquaint participants with the Ukrainian book market, field-specific institutions, and the opportunities they provide, attendance at festival events, and B2B meetings with Ukrainian publishers.
