The concert of Serhiy Zhadan and his band Zhadan i Sobaky, that was to take place in Milan, got cancelled because the writer is raising money to support Ukrainian Armed Forces at the gig. This was announced by the author on his Facebook page.

The Italian concert was going to be held on September 2.

“I’m sorry but is illegal in our country to make a concert and raise up money for war,” texted Italian organisers.

At the same time within their charitable tour to raise funds for Ukrainian Army the band is going to have 16 concerts in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and Austria. The first concert was already held in Wroclaw on August 30, the last one will take place in Vienna on September 18.

It shall be reminded that earlier Zhadan and Ukrainian embroidery brand Etnodim presented their charitable initiative called to raise money for cars for Ukrainian Army.

As is well known, the writer also held charitable auction where he sold his Dr. Martens boots to raise money for people in need from Kharkiv.
