Opportunities: Future!publish Conference Returns to Berlin in 2024
23.08.2023Following two digital editions, the future!publish conference is set to make a return to Berlin for a two-day event in the coming year. Scheduled for February 1st and 2nd, 2024, the conference will spotlight the issues shaping the book industry. The upcoming event promises to foster collaboration, dialogue, and networking opportunities. The Call for Papers continues to be open for submissions.
Publishing professionals are also invited to a pre-event gathering at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Taking place on October 19th, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the informal networking session offers an opportunity for publishers to connect. Registration is required via email at [email protected].
This year’s agenda is devoted to the changing face of the industry:
Future!Innovation: Posing the question of what innovation means for the book industry / “Slow Publishing” as a potential solution to current challenges / correlation between IT updates and cost savings for infrastructure optimization.
Future!Communication: The evolving dynamics between publishers and their readers / the transformational impact of storytelling on PR and marketing / communication preferences of tomorrow’s consumers
Future!Sales: Strategies for positioning products in the digital marketplace / pricing strategies / purchasing habits of the youth demographic.
Future!Visibility: The potential of “Virtual Reality”/ insights from data / best practices for reader analytics.
Future!Work: Future corporate leadership, contemplating notions of collaboration and agile project management / the concept of employer branding / how to appeal to the talents of tomorrow / the impact of digitization on editorial processes.
The event will be hosted at the Peter Edel Education and Culture Center in Berlin.
Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit their proposals via email to [email protected] by the October 6th, 2023 deadline. (Please note that submissions in alternative formats cannot be accommodated.)
