Date for 2025 BookForum festival announced

The 32nd International Literature Festival BookForum will be held in Lviv from October 2 to 5.

In 2025, BookForum will return to its well-known format — holding a book fair alongside the festival — and books will be available for purchase at the Palace of Arts.

“Ever since 1994, the fair has been the heart of the festival. It has also been a space for connection, discovery, lively conversations, emotions, sharing ideas, and finding inspiration. This year, we are returning to this tradition — and we invite you to,” organizers of the festival said.

The book fair was called off several times: in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2022 due to the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine; and in 2024 because of insufficient financial support.

Lviv Book Forum is an international literature festival held annually in Lviv since 1994. Over the past 23 years, it has featured over 2,500 authors from 43 countries, as well as 15,000 book industry professionals.
