The German publishing house Gestalten has published a book Ukraine Rising that showcases the achievements of 70 Ukrainian creatives in graphic design, architecture, art, photography, music, fashion and gastronomy.

“Ukraine Rising is a book that celebrates the best of contemporary Ukrainian culture through compelling photography and insightful writing. It showcases the work of top creatives and features expert essays that offer a glimpse into the vibrant people, projects, and innovation the country has to offer,” the description reads.

The publishing house notes that in the last decade, Ukraine has emerged as a hotbed of contemporary creativity, and its creatives blend traditional crafts, materials, and aesthetics with a modern, cosmopolitan outlook.

The book tells about Ukrainian fashion brands: Gunia Project, The Coat by Katya Silchenko, Bevza, Litkovska, KseniaSchnaider, and J’amemme; architectural brands: Faina, Makhno Studio, loft bureau, balbek bureau and YOD Group; musicians: Alyona Alyona, Kalush Orchestra, and Onuka; photography duo Synchrodogs; artists WAONE, Angelina Holembivska, Les Panchyshyn, and Oleksiy Chekal; and other representatives of the Ukrainian creative space.

Ukraine Rising has already received worldwide distribution and is available in major chains such as Target and Fnac.

The project was made in collaboration with Ukrainian publisher Lucia Bondar (CP PUBLISHING), who created the idea and compiled the book.
