Chytomo Award: Nominees announced in first stage of selection process

The Chytomo Award is the first prize designed to recognize the professionalism, perseverance, and accomplishments of individuals in Ukraine’s literary and book publishing sector.

The award is launching this year and will be presented annually. On Sept. 25, the organizers announced the results of the first stage of the selection process.

 

A total of 121 applications were submitted, representing 137 nominees. Of these, 101 projects successfully passed the technical selection process.

The cash prize for each nomination will be 4,000 EUR. Additionally, a Special Prize from the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) will be awarded to recognize outstanding achievements by Ukrainian publishers, offering them the opportunity to have a stand at the 2024 event.

 

 

The applications will be reviewed by an international jury of eight experts in the fields of publishing and literature.
