Kharkiv-based Factor-Druk printing house, damaged by a missile strike in May 2024, has been fully restored.

“The Factor-Druk printing house, the one that Russian shelling destroyed a year ago, has been restored. I remember Serhiy Polituchyi brought burnt children’s books. My daughter reads the same ones. It just broke my heart. I still keep them as a reminder of Russia’s attacks on our culture,” Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko wrote on her Facebook page.

In addition, Svyrydenko noted that the printing house was restored with the help of American billionaire Howard Buffett’s foundation: “Ukraine is blessed to have such a friend.”

The administration of Factor-Druk is not giving any comments now, for security reasons.

As reported earlier, the Factor-Druk printing house was able to carry out a full production cycle in Jan. 2025, and filled some orders for print. The first printed product to be fully produced by the restored printing house was the “Lessons of Resilience” notebook.

Moreover, Russia’s strike damaged the equipment of the printing house and destroyed 50,000 book copies, including “Words and Bullets” by Natalya Korniyenko, “Happiness Hunters. If You Need to Die, I’ll Wake You Up” by Valeriy Puzik, “Izmaragd of Princess Nesvitska” by Oleksandr Irvanets, and many others.
