In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Russian invaders are throwing away books from the library collections of the Pryazovskyi State Technical University. This was reported by the Mariupol City Council in its telegram channel.

“Then the books will be destroyed. Just like the Nazis did during the German occupation of the city during World War II. Russians turned out to be good learners,” the city council emphasized.

They added that in this way, the occupiers are trying to destroy “a different culture and its intellectual achievements.”

According to the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, official Russian propagandists in Mariupol reacted to the photo of “temporary relocation of books” from the Pryazovskyi State Technical University.

“They write: Work continues on sorting and moving the collection of the scientific and technical library of the Priazovsky State Technical University to a temporary book depository,” Andriushchenko wrote on his telegram channel.

As a reminder, in June 2022, the occupiers burned down the Petro Mohyla Library in Mariupol. At the same time, the invaders took all the books out of the surviving library premises “for storage”.
