Publishing houses that released the largest number of books in 2024

In 2024, fiction books totaled 3,358 titles, with a circulation of 4.5 million copies. Books for children and young adults amounted to 1,899 titles, with a total circulation of 4.1 million copies. (In 2019, 2,390 fiction titles were published with a circulation of almost 5 million copies.)

In 2024, Ukraine published a total of 4,415 educational and methodological books, with a print run of 22.4 million copies. In comparison to 2019, before the pandemic, the number of titles dropped. Then 24,416 titles were published, with a total print run of 61 million copies.

It is worth noting that in 2019, circulation in Ukraine amounted to 61 million. The leader both in terms of circulation (6.7 million) and titles (819) was the publishing house “Intellect of Ukraine.” Among trade publishers, the Family Leisure Club was the leader.

Publishers that are leaders in terms of circulation both in educational and trade publishing:

The Kharkiv-based Stem Osvita publishing house became the record holder in terms of circulation in 2024: it published 278 titles with a total circulation of 4.932 million copies. The second place went to Kyiv-based Genesis Publishing House with 170 titles and a circulation of 3.9 million copies. Ranok Publishing House (Kharkiv) published 350 books with a print run of 2.5 million copies, and Vivat (Kharkiv) published 380 titles with a print run of 1.6 million copies.
