Since the beginning of the war, Russia have bombed and shelled more than 280 schools in Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army has bombed and shelled more than 280 educational institutions. This was stated by Serhii Shkarlet, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, on his Telegram channel.

«The 15th day of the war! During this time, more than 280 educational institutions have been damaged or destroyed by bombing and shelling», – Shkarlet wrote.

Apart from that, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has developed an interactive map that will constantly update information on the number of damaged and destroyed educational institutions, as well as losses caused to Ukrainian educational institutions due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The map can be found here. It lists destroyed and damaged educational institutions in each region of Ukraine. You can also see photos and videos of damages.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine has announced the gathering of information on the damage and destruction of cultural heritage sites committed by Russian troops in Ukraine.

It should be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Culture stated that since the invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops have already destroyed or damaged 211 schools.
