The newspaper with two-month wartime pictures of Ukrainian photographers has been released

The newspaper The Information Front was published. It contains pictures created by Ukrainian photographers during the first two months of the full-scaled russian-Ukrainian war made. It was published on Village bookstore’s website.

The edition includes more than 20 photographers’ works, in particular, photos created by Mykhailo Palinchak, Oleksandr Chekmenov, Yevhen Malolietka, Mstyslav Chernov, Maksym Dondiuk, Pavlo Dorohyi, Oleksandr Ratushniak, Alina Smutko, Oksana Karpovych, and Oksana Parfeniuk. The first image in the newspaper is dated February 12, 2022.

 

Apart from that, the texts of Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan complement all the photos.

The project has been developed by Ukrainian photographer and founder of Odesa Photo Days Festival, Kateryna Radchenko, Canadian photographer Donald Weber and British photographer Christopher Nunn.

 

According to the team, “photojournalism plays a decisive role in covering the committed violence and appears as a counteraction to falsehood and propaganda”.

The Information Front is described as a “platform to support Ukrainian photographers’ works and disseminate information about the war in Ukraine”.

You can get the newspaper for £10 at the link. All raised funds will be sent to the charitable organization The Deepths of Art which supports Ukrainian independent photographers in collaboration with Odesa Photo Days team.

It should be reminded that the team of Ukrainian fashion magazine is to present a book “9 ½ years of Vogue in Ukraine”, which collects the most iconic photographs from the pages of Vogue UA since its launch.
