President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited the International Book Arsenal Festival in Kyiv.

 

At the Stylet and Stylos publishing house stand, Zelenskyy purchased “Battleground: 10 Conflicts that Explain the New Middle East” by Christopher Phillips and “The Chrysanthemum and the Sword: Patterns of Japanese Culture” by Ruth Benedict. In addition, he also received a complimentary copy of “Hundred Faces of Kyiv.”

At the Anetta Antonenko publishing house, the couple bought the books “Kill a tyrant. The history of tyranny from Caesar to Gaddafi” by Aldo Andrea Cassi and “Kim Ji-young, Born 1982” by Cho Nam-joo.

 

 

At the Bilka publishing house stand, Zelenskyys purchased “The Whisperer” by Tamara Horikha Zernia.

 

At the ABABAHALAMAHA publishing house, they were gifted “Lyrics of the Mariupol Bomb Shelters,” a poetry collection by Oksana Stomina.

 

At the Vikhola publishing house, the couple purchased:

  • “Being Ukrainian” by Olha Dubchak
  • “From the Land of Rye and Opium” by Sofiya Yablonska
  • “Bukuria: The Story of One Voyage” by Bohdan Zhuravel.

 

At the Vivat publishing house, the Zelenskyy couple purchased the books “The Shipmaster” by Yurii Yanovskyi, “Dear Edward” by Ann Napolitano, “Doomsday Weapon” by Yurii Shcherbak, as well as the art book “SKOVORODANCE: The Circle of Happy People.”
