583,281 million hryvnias allocated for cultural and artistic projects in 2022 will be used to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counter aggression by the Russian Federation. This is stated on the official website of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

It is Ukraine’s largest organization which provides grants for cultural and artistic projects.

As a result, the grant season in 2022 was suspended until the final victory over the Russian occupation forces.

«Soon we will contact the grantees whose projects have passed technical selection, as well as experts who evaluate the projects and explain the next steps of our joint work», – the agency stated.

«At the same time, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation continues its work to combat Russian aggression and support our defenders. We are united, we do not leave anyone behind and we continue to defend the country, each on one’s own front», – remarked Vladyslav Berkovsky, executive director of the UCF.

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) is a state institution established in 2017 to promote the development of national culture and art in Ukraine. From 2018 to 2020, 859 grantees implemented their projects with the support of the UCF.

As reported, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation called for the exclusion of the Russian Federation from UNESCO.
