Yet, bookmakers’ prognosis for the Nobel Prize winners have not always been accurate: in 2021, Abdulrazak Gurnah, the winner, was not even presented in the list. In 2020, the winner’s, Louise Glück, quotient was only 25/1, and the quotients of 2018/2019 winners, Olga Tokarczuk and Peter Handke, that were announced together in 2019, were pretty low, too.
It shall be reminded, that in 2021 the Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to the British writer of Tanzanian origin Abdulrazak Gurnah. And in 2020 the poetess from the USA Louise Glück won the prize.
