Nash Format publishing house warehouse damaged after Russia’s attack on Kyiv

On the night of July 3-4, a Russian missile strike on Kyiv damaged the warehouse of the Nash Format publishing house.

The shock wave and falling debris caused significant damage to the building. The facade is destroyed, all the windows are shattered, parts of the walls collapsed, and the ceiling as well as the warehouse and office premises greatly damaged. Some of the books were burned or damaged during the shelling and firefighting efforts.

“This is our workspace after the attack of the ‘Russian world’ … The most important thing is that no one is injured and everyone is alive. We’ll rebuild the steel and concrete, and reprint the books … We all know what we’re fighting for. We publish books that promote strength, critical thinking, and dignity — values that Russia fears most. We’re not backing down. We continue working, we’ll stand firm, and we will win,” representatives of the publishing house wrote in a post on their Facebook page.

Following the consequences of the attack, Nash Format has temporarily suspended order shipments, and the team is working on restoring operations. The website and call center of the online store continue their work. Shipments are expected to resume next week.

“As part of the activities of the Reformation public organization we’re carrying out several book projects aimed at supporting Ukrainian Armed Forces and military medics,” founder of Nash Format publishing house Vladyslav Kyrychenko said. “These are mostly professional literature, manuals, statutes, and books on military surgery and mental health care for service members and veterans. Unfortunately, right now we can’t fund these projects on our own, and we are asking for your support. These books not only help improve the professionalism of military personnel and medics, but also help save lives.
