Oksana Zabuzhko’s publication “The Longest Journey” was published in Norway. The writer announced this on her Facebook page.

«From now on “The Longest Journey” is in Norwegian (this is the third language this book speaks to the reader this fall, I remind you that you can pre-order the Ukrainian edition on the Komora Publishing House page)», the author wrote.

In her new essay “The Longest Journey”, written for a Western audience, Oksana Zabuzhko examines the origins of today’s Russian-Ukrainian war in two time dimensions – thirty years and three hundred years, interspersed with her own memories of how an incalculable amount of human will can change the course of history.

In Norway, the book was published by Kagge Forlag. It costs 349 NOK.

The publication in Ukrainian is expected at the end of November.

In addition, the writer noted that the presentation of the publication will take place in Oslo, the capital of Norway. On November 8, Zabuzhko will present her book together with the Norwegian writer Åsne Seierstad. Entrance is free, more about the event at the link.

It is also noted that in 2023, two books by the ukrainian writer will also be published in Norway – “Fieldwork In Ukrainian Sex” and “The Museum of Abandoned Secrets”.

We’ll remind you that the Swedish publishing house Norstedts was the first to publish Oksana Zabuzhko’s new book “The Longest Journey”. Previously, the Agora publishing house in Poland donated the profit from the sale of Zabuzhko’s books to the Rescue Foundation for Ukrainian refugees.
