A Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and a Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova killed by shelling near Kyiv. This was reported by Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko on his telegram channel.

«Pierre Zakrzewski, an Irishman, and Oleksandra Kuvshynova, a Ukrainian journalist, have been killed by artillery shelling by Russian-fascist troops in the northeast of the village of Horenka», – Gerashchenko wrote.

Pierre Zakrzewski was working with correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was injured. Doctors had to amputate part of the correspondent’s leg. He had a comminuted fracture of his legs.

Oleksandra Kuvshynova was a photographer, she worked for Radioaktive Film in Kyiv, for the PR service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and for the public organization KRAI.

Fox News also reported the death of a colleague:

«Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine. Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire», – said Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.

Zakrzewski was a photographer and cameraman, working for Fox News in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. He was 55 years old.

«Horrible news to report: Fox cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski was killed in the same attack that wounded correspondent Benjamin Hall. I worked with Pierre many times around the world. He was an absolute treasure», – John Roberts, a television journalist, wrote on Twitter.

Let us recall that at least 35 attacks on journalists in Ukraine have been documented since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war. In particular, during hostilities near Mykolaiv the journalist Victor Dudar was killed. As a result of the attack, Brent Renaud, an American filmmaker and the former New York Times correspondent, had died.

Apart from that, as previously reported, journalist Oleh Baturyn went missing in Kherson region.
