Winners of Best Book Design from all over the World 2023

The Best Book Design from all over the World competition has announced the winners of 2023. This is reported on the website of the Stiftung Buchkunst, its organizer.

The main prize of the Best Book Design from all over the World competition was awarded to the book “Susi + Ueli Berger. Kunst am Bau und im öffentlichen Raum 1968–2008”, dedicated to the work of the Swiss designers Susi and Ueli Berger. The heyday of their professional activity was in the 1960s. Together, the Bergers worked on the design of furniture and interior items that were very popular in Europe. The works of this creative duo were displayed at international exhibitions, in particular at the Design Museum in Zurich, the Pompidou Center in Paris, and the Kunstpalast Museum in Dusseldorf.

The jury of Best Book Design from all over the World noted that the book’s design managed to convey a special mood “that captures the reader and allows him to become a part of the diverse world of the Bergers” and also drew attention to the fact that due to the simplicity of the publication’s design, nothing prevents you from getting acquainted with the works of its main characters.
