‘Netflix streaming service has released the first trailer of “All the Light We Cannot See”, which is an onscreen adaptation of the war novel of the same name by American author Anthony Doerr.

 

The film was directed by Canadian-American director, producer, and actor Shawn Levy, starring Louis Hofmann, Marion Bailey, Mark Ruffalo, Hugh Laurie and Aria Mia Loberti. The war novel was originally published in 2014, and won the Pulitzer Prize and the Andrew Carnegie Medal in 2015.

The book deals with the story of a blind girl who is trying to reunite with her father with the help of radio and becomes friends with a young Nazi recruit who has experience with radio technology.

 

“In this magnificent, deeply moving novel, the stories of Marie-Laure and Werner illuminate the ways, against all odds, people try to be good to one another,” according to information given in the annotation to the book.
