The Bologna Children’s Book Fair illustrators shortlist revealed

The International jury of the 58th edition of the Illustrators Exhibition at Bologna Children’s Book Fair has announced the shortlist of finalists.

“The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is deeply committed to building bridges between countries and cultures, pursuing the only, single, important objective of promoting the quality of children’s illustration and literature, and providing space for dialogue and the exchange of experiences,” the announcement says.

The jury selected 346 finalists out of 3520 artists from 81 countries who submitted their works. Eight illustrators from Ukraine are among them. See full list of finalists here.

The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the main global professional fair of children’s literature and is held annually in March or April in the Italian city of Bologna. The event usually lasts for four days. The Bologna Book Fair brings together exhibitors from book publishing industry, authors and thousands of book lovers.
