The offices of Ranok and Veselka publishing houses damaged in a Russian attack on Kyiv

The offices of publishing houses Ranok and Veselka were damaged as a result of Russian shelling on May 24. This was reported to Chytomo by Victor Kruglov, director and founder of Ranok, and by Oleksiy Bondarenko, former director of Veselka.
Ranok is one of Ukraine’s largest publishers of educational and children’s literature. The publishing house was founded in 1997 in Kharkiv. Its books are published in Ukrainian, Romanian, Kazakh, German, Chinese, and English. The company partners with some of the world’s largest producers of children’s content, including The Walt Disney Company. Ranok is a member of the European Educational Publishers Association and is currently Ukraine’s sole representative.

Veselka is a Ukrainian publisher of children’s literature, founded in Kharkiv in 1934. Over the years, Veselka has published more than 10,000 titles, with a total print run of 1.131 billion copies. These include folklore and fiction, both Ukrainian and international, as well as scientific, artistic, educational, and reference works.
