In Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, the Ukrainian Alley was opened. This was announced by the Ukrainian Embassy on its Facebook page.

On the alley, trees were planted and a commemorative plaque “Ukrainian Alley. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!” was installed.

The Lesіa Ukrainka Community of Ukrainians in Macedonia also participated in the ceremony.

“It is an extremely important support for our country from Macedonian society, especially during the military aggression of russian federation against Ukraine. Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers and civilians defend European and universal human values at the expense of their own lives. North Macedonia supports and helps Ukraine in all possible areas. You are our reliable friends and allies, together we stand up for the democratic future of the world,” said Larysa Dir, Ukrainian Ms. Ambassador.

After the opening of the Ukrainian Alley, guests could view the gallery of photos of russian crimes against Ukraine. Photos depict the consequences of russian missiles’ hits, russian aircraft bombardment of churches, schools, sports grounds, libraries and hospitals.

It shall be reminded that in solidarity with Ukraine, about 20 streets and squares in 14 countries around the world were renamed or named in honor of Ukraine.
