19 liberal organisations from all over the world, including Young Democrats of America, nominated Roman Ratushnyi and all young fallen warriors of Ukraine for IFLRY Freedom Award 2022. This was announced by the President of the NGO Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine Artur Kharytonov on his Twitter.

Apart from two Ukrainian organisations, among the sponsors there are organisations from the UK, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Norway, Catalonia, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, USA, Sweden, and Andorra. According to Kharytonov, that’s an absolute record in terms of the number of sponsors.

Roman Ratushnyi and other warriors were nominated “for his outstanding courage and lifelong work for the causeof freedomin Ukraine and worldwide, and their colossal bravery in resisting russia’s evil”.

“Just a year ago, Roman and I discussed the nomination for the year 2021 (Lithuanian government and youth for their fight with PRC). And now it’s 2022, it’s autumn again, but without Roman and hundreds of wonderful Ukrainians. Honoring their memory is the task not only for Ukraine, but for the whole world. Many international colleagues that were lucky to know Roman have only found out about Roman’s demise now, from my letters. Both him and all the heroes of Ukraine have to become the part of Western senses,” points Kharytonov.

The award will be presented in November.
