In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, schoolchildren are being forced to switch to distance learning to make room for Russian military personnel. This was reported by the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (RMA) in its telegram channel.

“The so-called ‘government of the LPR’ reported that 127 educational institutions have switched to distance learning due to the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections. However, the epidemic threshold is currently only 14.7%. And usually, in such cases, quarantine is declared, but this is a short-term measure to vacate the premises,” the statement said.

The occupation administration has problems with the resettlement of the newly arrived Russian military, so it found a way to accommodate the militants for the long term, citing the SARS epidemic.

“Due to the significant number of sanitary losses among the invaders, the maternity hospital in Luhansk has been used for several months to treat wounded Russian soldiers. In addition, the premises of Children’s Hospital No. 3 have been converted into a military hospital. There is no place to give birth and treat children,” the RMA added.

As a reminder, at the beginning of the school year, 424 schools switched to distance learning due to Russian shelling. And the occupiers have already damaged or destroyed 3,051 schools.
