The office of the Poltavska Khvylia (Poltava Wave) media outlet was damaged by a Russian drone attack in Poltava on the night of April 22-23.

“Currently, most of the premises are not fit for use, but we continue our work for our readers and viewers. While we seek ways to carry out repairs and restore order, all texts, photos, and video reports will still be published as scheduled,” Editor-in-chief Vitaliy Ulybin wrote on his Facebook page.

Representatives of the Poltavska Khvylia reported on the website that the ceiling had partially collapsed, metal structural elements were deformed, and lamps were torn from their fixtures by the shock wave. Fortunately, no employees were injured during the shelling.

Ulybin hopes that the outlet will soon launch a new course at the media school called “Wartime Journalism.”

As reported on April 13, the Russian army struck the center of Sumy with two ballistic missiles. The shock wave from that strike damaged, among other things, the editorial office of the local media outlet CUKR.CITY.

In 2023, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kherson, causing severe damage to the Oles Honchar Kherson Regional Universal Scientific Library
