Writer Ihor Mysiak died at the front

The poet, novelist, and author of the novel «Завод» (Factory) Ihor Mysiak died while defending Ukraine. The Tempora publishing house reported this on its telegram channel.

 

Ihor Mysiak is a poet and prose writer. He was born on June 16, 1993, in the Lviv region. He studied at the History Department of Drohobych Pedagogical University. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. From the fall of 2014 to the end of summer 2015, he served in the Azov regiment, as an ambulance medic and a rescue fighter.

 

Poet and prose writer. Laureate of the «Хортицькі дзвони 2018» (Khortytsia Bells 2018) contest, Irpin Parnassus 2018 festival, Zhytomyr TEM 2019 contest, and An T-R-Act 2020 festival. He has been published in the magazines «Літературний Чернігів» (Literary Chernihiv), Dzvin, the anthology «Молоді голоси» (Young Voices), and several anthologies.

 

In early March 2022, he joined a unit of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later he joined the ranks of the separate mechanized brigade of the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He took part in the liberation of Kherson region from Russian invaders.

 

In 2022, Tempora publishing house published his debut prose book, Factory.

 

Earlier, Ukrainian historian and “cyborg” Viacheslav Zaitsev was killed at the frontline. Poet and soldier Artem Dovhopolyi was killed at the front in Donetsk region.
